Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Required Coursework *
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is composed of 124 semester credit hours
of coursework. The coursework encompasses University Requirements that are required
of all Winthrop students, Computer Science courses, math and science courses that support
the computer science degree, electives, and a minor. The minor may be from any
discipline. Because the ABET accreditation of the computer science degree
requires 30 credit hours of science and
math courses, computer science majors frequently choose to also use those
courses toward a minor in
either mathematics, science, or information systems.
Several courses, such as CSCI327, fulfill multiple requirements of the University
and the Department.
