Economics at Winthrop University

Welcome to the homepage for Economics at Winthrop University.

Economics is housed in the College of Business Administration as part of the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics.   Winthrop University offers two degree programs for students interested in pursuing economics: a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Business Administration with an Economics Option. We also offer a minor in economics and participate in the interdisciplinary programs in Environmental Sciences and Environmental Studies.

Our mission is to prepare students in a learning-centered environment, through effective teaching, scholarship, and service, with the professional and leadership skills necessary for positions in the global marketplace, while fostering life-long learning and service to the external community.
