Institutional Assistance

Graduate Assistantships:

The College of Business offers a limited number of assistantships to deserving MBA students. Students working as graduate assistants are required to:
ball9.gif (868 bytes) work 20 hours a week during the fall and spring semesters
ball9.gif (868 bytes) be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours during each semester.

Graduate Incentive Scholarship:

Members of a minority race who enroll in graduate programs at Winthrop, a historically white institution, may be eligible for fellowships under the Graduate Incentive Scholarship Program, as provided in the State Access and Equity Program. Applicants must be:

ball9.gif (868 bytes) Bona fide residents of South Carolina
ball9.gif (868 bytes) Members of a minority race

Winthrop Alumni Graduate Scholarships:

Winthrop University Alumni Association allots limited scholarship funds for graduate study at Winthrop. Recipients are selected on the basis of ability and future promise and must be enrolled full time (nine hours) in a degree-seeking program during the semester which the award is given. Need is not a criterion. Applications for these scholarships may be secured from Graduate Studies, 209 Tillman Hall.
