The MBA Lecture Series

A distinguished business professional is invited to the Winthrop University campus each semester as the "MBA Lecturer." The lecture, attended by approximately 150 invited friends of the College of Business Administration, faculty and students, is held on a class night, and students from all graduate classes attend the evening event.  The evening begins with a reception that is open to all invitees.

The invited lecturer is encouraged to suggest selected readings for graduate students that will enhance their knowledge of and participation in the lecturer’s topic.  Often, a lecturer will send related articles for distribution to the graduate students prior to the lecture.

Usually lasting about an hour, the lecture follows a format of presentation and discussion. The most successful lecturers solicit and promote discussion.

This event is sponsored by the MBA Association with members of that group hosting the evening activities.
