Robert Steen Kledal was appointed Senior Vice President, Area Line & Operations Management in January 2006. Prior to this role, he was the Regional line Manager for Maersk Inc. Before joining the North America organization In August 2004, Mr. Kledal was Area Line and Operations Manager of the Maersk China Shipping Co. ltd., based In Beijing. As Vice President, his responsibilities included overseeing all Maersk Sealand liner services to and from China, as well as establishment of the Greater China Agency organization. 

Mr. Kledal began his career with the A.P. Moller - Maersk organization in January 1990, and until his latest appointment in North America, has held various commercial management positions throughout China.

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Mr. Kledal graduated in 1989 from SHIPPINGSKOLEN in Copenhagen and speaks English, German, Danish and Mandann. Mr. Kledal is married and has two children.
