ACCOUNTING
The Accounting option provides the
foundation for careers in accounting. The undergraduate
degree is the first phase of an integrated program leading to an
MBA with an accounting emphasis. The undergraduate option
prepares students for many entry-level positions in the
accounting area while the graduate program complies with South
Carolina's 150-semester-hour requirement to sit for the CPA
exam. Following completion of general education
requirements, students take a challenging curriculum of core
business courses, finishing with in-depth classes such as
intermediate accounting, individual and corporate tax, auditing,
and accounting information systems.
