INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
The option of international
business prepares students for managerial careers in the global
marketplace. It is interdisciplinary in nature and
emphasizes the development of foreign language skills as well as
an understanding of the social, cultural, and political aspects
of the international environment. The curriculum provides
the opportunity to develop the analytical and decision-making
skills necessary for effective participation in the global
challenges facing business today. The international
business option includes specialized course, study abroad
opportunities, and international internships. It is
designed to not only assist students in developing skills needed
to compete in world markets, but also to contribute to their
preparations for careers in export marketing and export sales
management, global sourcing, international finance and banking,
international economics, international accounting and management
of the multinational firm.
